Select Video Driver

Menu Location: Settings - Video Audio Configuration

Allows one to chose which video driver to use for your video capture device.

If there is no driver listed in this box then make sure you installed the video drivers for your video capture card or device first. Then later come back here and select the video driver.

If no video driver is selected then program will not work.

Not every video driver in the world will work with this program, therefore try to use recommended video capture devices and drivers. See the support web site. Of course feel free to experiment and test any drivers you would like - many do work.

Typical configuration sequence is Select Video Driver then Select Hardware Type.

If using VFW (Video For Windows) drivers then the driver name will show up, and select it eg Hauppauge Win/TV Video Capture Driver.

If using WDM driver, then driver will probably be listed as Microsoft WDM Image Capture. If there are multiple WDM drivers then one must also select the video driver under menu item Video Source, Capture Source Tab.
